Crime rates are consistently on the rise each day, underscoring the need for the development of additional methods to manage and curb this trend. It is crucial to establish effective strategies to control and prevent the escalation of criminal activities. Furthermore, maintaining accurate records of these crime incidents is of paramount importance, as the data may prove valuable for future use and reference. The ability to anticipate crimes plays a pivotal role in enabling law enforcement to intervene before they occur. Criminological forecasting and planning have emerged as indispensable tools for law enforcement agencies and policymakers to proactively address crime patterns, thereby bolstering public safety. This article delves into the intricacies of criminological forecasting and planning, shedding light on its methods, advantages, and challenges. This article explores the potential to diminish and manage crime risks through the application of criminological forecasting and planning. The research methodology employed in this article is doctrinal, offering a comprehensive examination of the subject matter.
